MarginPoint supports REST API which enables 3rd party application to exchange data between MarginPoing and consuming applications. With the MarginPoint API below are the some of the operations we can do:
- Obtain data from MarginPoint.
- Send new data to MarginPoint
- Update existing data in MarginPoint.
The MarginPoint platform also ensures that the third-party product is properly authenticated prior to getting access to get the MarginPoint data. All access to MarginPoint is through the REST API requests provided by the MarginPoint API.
QCommission utilizes a technology called QXchange to integrate to other applications including MarginPoint. Specific data access plug-ins (DAP) for different systems can be added to QXchange to integrate with various data sources. A special DAP for MarginPoint allows QCommission to exchange data with MarginPoint.
QCommission is enabled with importing data from various objects of MarginPoint like, CatalogItem, Inventory, User, Company, Location, Transfer Requisition, Restock Requisition etc. This data helps QCommission in calculating commission and maintaining the data in one location.
The QCommission also has the ability to push the data to MarginPoint. This allows the user for synch the data between QCommission and MarginPoint and vice versa.
