1. How do I import my sales data?

Sales data can be imported by choosing the Import Invoice Wizard from the Setup menu. The import wizard will guide you to choose the import options to transfer the sales data into QCommission.

2. Will I be able to import data other than QuickBooks data?

You can also import data by using any one of the supported formats like spreadsheets, delimited and, fixed width text files other than QuickBooks data.

3. What kind of data can be imported from QuickBooks to QCommission?

The data such as customer data, product data, payee data and invoice data can be imported from QuickBooks into QCommission.

4. What is the difference between invoice and transaction?

In QuickBooks, transactions may contain different type of transaction types. At present QCommission supports only one transaction type called invoice from QuickBooks.

5. I am QuickBooks user, do I have to run QuickBooks while using QCommission?

When the Import process is executed for the very first time, make sure that QuickBooks is open and running in the foreground. For later import processes, it is not mandatory to run QuickBooks in the background.

6. Is there any specific delimiter that delimiter file follows?

QCommission uses only one delimiter semicolon (;) as the field separator to break up the column.

7. Is there any specific format that fixed width file follows?

A Fixed width text file is a file with columns of a predefined length. Each column of the file must not exceed the specified length set by QCommission. Refer the Help to learn more details.

8. Where can I view the imported data in QCommission?

The customer data, transaction data, and payee data can be viewed in the respective screen of the Maintenance. For example, if you want to view transaction data choose "Transaction" option from the Maintenance menu.

9. I don't want to use one particular transaction for calculating commission now? What should I do in that case?

If you don't want to calculate commission for a particular transaction, you can hold the transaction by choosing the option "Hold a Transaction ID/Transaction Line" from the Maintenance Transaction. A flag "On Hold" will be set to hold a particular transaction.

10. Can I modify the customer and product details in QCommission after importing from QuickBooks?

Yes, QCommission lets you modify the customer and product details after importing from QuickBooks.
