QCommission solves sales commission calculations for Cortech Engineering.
Cortech Engineering represents and offers a broad range of pumps, process equipment products and services for industrial applications in chemical processing, food and beverage, electric utilities, pulp and paper, oil and gas, refining, OEM, and general industry. The company is headquartered in Anaheim, California.
Cortech had a fairly unique commission plan where commissions were calculated based on gross profit. Commission rates were different by different roles. Each order could be assigned to a different sales person. Commissions were due when the invoice was paid.
Prior to QCommission, the owner, John Pugh, and his team used to run QuickBooks reports and then calculated the actual commissions in Excel. His team was able to calculate commissions using Excel but it took a lot of effort to get it done in time for payroll.
John came across QCommission through the QuickBooks Marketplace. He did some product research and thought this would ease his commission calculation problem. After discussions with the QCommission salesperson about the features of QCommission, he decided to purchase the software.
The Cellarstone implementation team helped John in setting up the plan and in less than 5 hours, the team imported the transactions, calculated and produced accurate results. “I pay different commission percentages for sales engineer and senior sales engineer and QCommission handled the calculation very efficiently with accurate results,” John said.
“I like the professional look of the QCommission statement, with its complete accuracy in calculations. Both my sales engineers and I are very happy with the product,” John said.
