Such A Voice is a full service voice-over training and production company as well as a link between voice-over talent and the producers who hire Voice-Over Talent. They are headquartered in South Burlington, Vermont.
Such A Voice had a complex commission plan paying variable commissions to their Sales Reps, Business Development Manager and Public Relations Manager. Commissions are calculated from when invoices are paid by the customer. The invoice data is available from QuickBooks. Commissions are calculated differently for each invoice based on different items. The Master Class is calculated at one rate and others are calculated at different rates on invoice amount. Multiple sales reps can get split commissions on an invoice. Commissions change when thresholds are hit. The commissions are calculated on a monthly basis.
All of these calculations were done manually in Excel which took up a lot of time. Data had to be manually extracted from QuickBooks and then manually calculated in Excel. This led to errors in calculations, resulting in paying incorrect commissions.
After some research, Jeff Santoro found QCommission which can automate his commission calculation. After a substantial due diligence and discussion with the QCommission team, he chose the QCommission product for his commission calculations.
The QCommission implementation team helped Jeff and Kathleen with the implementation and in less than 4 hours, all complex plans were built and tested with their test transactions. “I had one Business Manager whose rate drops by 50% when he hits a threshold and automatically the second Business Manager starts getting commissions for all future Invoices and QCommission handles this accurately,” Kathleen says. “QCommission integrates with QuickBooks seamlessly and within a few clicks I am ready with my commission statement to distribute to my sales rep.”
“The commission statement produced from QCommission has detailed calculation information for each invoice with accurate results. I was very amazed at the results, the statement layout and the simplicity of calculating commissions.”
