Ignite! Learning was founded in 1999. The early years of the company was devoted to market research and product development. The company's mission is to transform classroom education by providing teachers with cutting edge curriculum that is comprehensive, motivational, and easy-to-use.
Ignite! Learning used Excel to calculate commissions which was a very time consuming task. They tried a cheap QuickBooks add-on product to the delivery system which did not meet their expectations.
Ignite! has 22 payees to calculate commission for their:- Account Manager, Regional Manager, Inside Sales and Foundation Sales people. Commissions had to be calculated on a bi-weekly basis. They pay a portion of the commission from Unpaid Invoices and the balance on Paid Invoice. Commission rate is determined by year to date attainment of the payee, with a tiered rate table. They also have splits to be handled by payee and at other times, by customers. All managers have overrides and they wanted to see the subordinates commission amount and rate and the sale it came from. It was very important for all payees to see the School District Name and School Name on the report as well as the order and payment dates.
After trying a few software applications and doing some research, Ignite! found QCommission which could handle their complex plans that include event based calculation and tiered commission rates. The demo from the sales rep convinced them that QCommission can be configured with their complex plans and also be modified for future needs.
The QCommission implementation team executed the project very efficiently and delivered the software on time including training and a user guide. Most of the requirements were made available by the customer during the initial meeting, which made the implementation process proceed quickly and very smoothly.
"By using QCommission, we saved many hours of time taken to manually calculate commissions. The commission statement was accurate, very clear and professional. We will be a very good reference to QCommission prospects", said Patti Conrad.
